IAS officer shares rescue video of turtles by Tamil Nadu fishermen and forest officials.

Every now and then, the internet churns out videos that showcase how humans extend their helping hand to animals and sea creatures. Those clips not only restore one’s faith in humanity but also make one believe in the fact that humans and animals can exist in harmony.

Adding to those clips is this video shared by IAS officer Supriya Sahu. The video shows local fishermen and forest officials in Tamil Nadu helping some turtles get back to the sea. As some of the turtles struggle to get to the water, the men can be seen helping them out. The turtles probably got stuck in the fishing nets along with the catch.

“Turtle rescue jointly by the local fishermen and the Tamil Nadu Forest Team at Dhanushkodi, Gulf of Mannar #TNForest

The video has garnered over 5k views and many reactions. People thanked the officials and the fishermen for helping out the turtles in distress. “Thank you for saving the turtles,” wrote a Twitter user.

“Great initiative,” commented another. “Going back home. Salute the efforts of local people and Forest Team,” said a third.
