Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai? Chai Ki Chuskiyan Zafar Ali Mirza Ke Sath

Chai or tea
, we call it, is an inseparable part of most Indian households. Waking upand having a cup of tea is like a daily ritual in any Indian family. It is not just a beverage for many but the elixir of life that keeps us going throughout the day. It is also a fact that every Indian family has their way of making tea. Similarly, on &TV’s Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai? we have Lucknow’s favourite Chai-wala Zafar Ali Mirza (Pawan Singh), a proud owner of Lucknow Tea House. His tea stall is not only known for its zaikedaar Chai but also as a popular gossip joint. Pawan Singh, who plays this biwi ke Pyaar ka mara Mirza, is a chai-lover himself! Hailing from Delhi, Pawan was excited to go on a tea trail and explore the tea varieties the city offers and lists down his favourite tea spots in Lucknow, and their must have tea. Lucknow Aaye aur ‘Sharma Ji Ki Chai’ nahi pee toh kya kiya?

A trip to Lucknow is incomplete without trying the famous Kulhad tea of Sharma Ji Ki Chai, situated in the heart of the city Hazratganj. The first sip of that tea is enough to make it to the top of anybody’s list, including me. When garma-garam Chai poured into the clay vessel, it soaks the earthy flavour and creates the perfect blend. Pairing the tea with their best-selling bun-maska is just like the cherry on the top. Though I own a tea stall in the show, if I were to compliment anyone other than me, it has to be Sharma Ji ki, Chai. Chai Ho Toh ‘Keval chai se.’ Masala tea is one of my favourite teas as they are made of a combination of different Indian spices like Cardamom, Cinnamon, black pepper, clove. But the masala chai I had from Keval Chai was the best I have had to date. This small stall located at Halwasia in Lucknow has stolen my heart. No matter what season it is, a hot cup of masala tea from the Keval Chai stall is all you need to complete your day.

Swad bhi, health bhi Aahad Tea & Maggie Point ke Kahwa tea ke sath

Tea is much more than just a wake-up drink. It is a desi immunity booster. Kahwa tea is known to be a part of Kashmir’s cuisine for a very long time. It is an amazing combination of taste, aroma, and many health benefits. And I know where to get the best Kahwa tea- it is none other than Aahad Tea & Maggie spot located near Hiran Park in Lucknow. The warm and exotic Kahwa tea with its famous Maggi is a must- try.

Chai Peeni Hai?

Haan Gulab chai peeni hai   Gulab chai is a speciality tea made from the fragrant petals and buds of rose flowers. They are naturally caffeine-free thus are a wonderful replacement for some hot caffeinated beverages. And Chai Peeni Hai? offers the best Kashmiri Gulab chai at a reasonable price. It is a funky food truck that has everything pocket friendly and delicious. When I tasted the Gulab tea, it directly reached my heart. It is such a refreshing taste that one must give it a try.

Tandoori Chai, straight out of red-hot tandoor!

Tandoori Chai is a visual treat. I had the best tandoori tea ever in one of the stalls at 1090 crossing in Gomti Nagar. There are many tea stalls in that area that offer tandoori tea during the evenings. I love watching tandoori Chai in the making.  A kulhad is placed in a hot tandoor, and then the tea is poured into it. The tea sizzles and froths over and then poured in fresh kulhad and handed over. This preparation gives the tea a smoky and earthy flavour.
