Lights, Camera, Pranks! Actors reveal on set pranksters!

On International Jokes Day, we honour those who bring joy and laughter into our lives. It is time to celebrate the people who make us laugh. To mark this special day, the &TV artists reveal the hilarious side of their co-stars, who possess an incredible sense of humour. These include Neha Joshi (Yashoda, Doosri Maa), Yogesh Tripathi (Daroga Happu Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabhi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai). Neha Joshi, aka Yashoda from Doosri Maa, shares, “Krishna (Aayudh Bhanushali) is the ultimate prankster on set, who never misses a chance to amuse me with his hilarious pranks and witty jokes.

While I prefer being quiet during scenes, he is always in high gear, talking non-stop between breaks. His spot-on mimicking and amusing voiceovers never fail to amuse me and instantly break me into a hearty laugh. Even during emotional scenes, he lightens the mood with jokes, making me smile. Having someone who can make you laugh in any situation is precious, and Aayudh is that person for me. His jokes and pranks keep getting better, and his presence brings so much joy and liveliness. On this International Jokes Day, I am grateful to those who bring much-needed laughter into our lives and keep us spirited.”

Yogesh Tripathi, aka Daroga Happu Singh from Happu ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “On International Jokes Day, let's take a moment to appreciate people who bring joy and happiness into our lives with their perfect comic timing. And that honour goes to Himani Ji, the incredible Katori Amma in our show. She is a true maestro of laughter, with impeccable comic timing and a knack for bringing positivity through humour. Her jokes always hit the bullseye, leaving us all in splits. She is the go-to person for cracking jokes, pranks, and comic antics on set. She is the undisputed champ in the comedy realm, making us laugh on-screen and off-screen. Here's to all such genuinely funny people for keeping those funny bones tickled!”

Shubhangi Atre, aka Angoori Bhabi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “When it comes to pranksters and humour, we are a lively bunch, including yours truly (laughs). But trying to outshine Aasif Ji (aka Vibhuti Narayan Mishra) in the humour department is like trying to catch a slippery fish with your bare hands—impossible! He is the reigning "King of Comedy" on Indian television! Every week, he dives headfirst into these bizarre, hilarious characters that are mind-bogglingly difficult and extraordinarily funny. It is like he was born with a laughter-inducing superpower. He is a true artist and comedian extraordinaire with his hilarious voiceovers, outrageous get-ups, witty dialogues, and priceless expressions. And personally, Aasif Ji is a joke-cracking wizard, always keeping us in splits with his amazing sense of humour, creating a bubble of laughter and positive vibes on set. So, on this International Jokes Day, let us remember one thing: "Hamesha haste rahiye, aur hasaate rahiye’ after all, laughter is the best medicine!
