The birth anniversary of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra
Bose is celebrated every year on 23 January. He is considered to be one of the
most iconic and influential leaders, who played a significant role in gaining
independence from the British Rule.
Subhas was
born on 23 January 1897 in Cuttack, Orissa Division, Bengal Province.He had
been a prominent leader of the younger, radical, wing of the Indian National
Congress in the late 1920s and 1930s, rising to become Congress President in
1938 and 1939.
