Delhi News Live Updates: Manish Sisodia reaches CBI office for questioning in excise policy case; AAP leaders holding sit-in protest outside CBI office detained

Delhi-NCR News, Delhi News Live Updates, October 17, 2022: MPs and MLAs, including Sanjay Singh, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Atishi and Jarnail Sinigh were with Sisodia as he reached Rajghat before going to the CBI office on Monday morning.

Delhi News Today Live Updates, October 17:  Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia reached the CBI headquarters in the national capital on Monday following the central agency’s summons in connection with excise policy case.

Earlier in the day, Sisodia visited the Rajghat along with several party supporters. AAP leaders including Atishi and other party workers were stopped by the Delhi Police from following Sisodia to the CBI office. “I visited Gandhi Samadhi and took aashirwad from Bapu. Bapu was also arrested and stopped from doing good. They raided my house, bank locker and searched every single corner and found nothing against me,” Sisodia said.

The BJP, meanwhile, has accused the AAP of doing “pressure politics”. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia, at a press conference, said CM Arvind Kejriwal was the “kingpin” of scams his ministers are accused of. “These days, Kejriwal compares himself to god and his ministers to freedom fighters. Kejriwal should be ashamed as his corrupt ministers are filling his coffers while Bhagat Singh sacrificed his life for the country,” Bhatia alleged.
