Samsung Galaxy S22 series European pricing leak ahead of launch next month

After months of rumors and leaks, South Korean giant Samsung has finally announced that the upcoming flagship smartphones from the brand, the Galaxy S22 lineup, will be officially announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event on 9th February.

Just weeks ahead of the official launch, the pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series in the European market has leaked online.

The base model of Galaxy S22 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will be priced at €849 while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model will cost €899. The Galaxy S22 Plus with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage end up costing €1,049 while the model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage will be priced at €1,099.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S22 Ultra with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost €1,249 and the 12GB RAM with 256GB model will be priced at €1,349. The top-end model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage will cost €1,449.

It’s noteworthy that the leak doesn’t align with the previous leak that suggested that the base model of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will have 12GB RAM and the top-end model will pack 16GB of RAM. There have also been reports about Samsung bringing back a 1TB storage model, which has also not surfaced in this new price leak.

It will be interesting to see how Samsung prices the upcoming Galaxy S22 series smartphones given that it is facing a lot of competition with Apple having iPhone 13 Mini starting at $699 and the Google’s Pixel 6 at $599.

Although the Galaxy S22 lineup is expected to come with some major upgrades, including a revamped design, better specifications, improved camera sensors, and more, the pricing will play a crucial role for it to become one of the top-selling products for the year.
