Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia,
who has embarked on ‘Tiranga Yatra’
in poll-bound UP, alleged on Wednesday that there was corruption all around in
the state.
Addressing a press conference in Noida, he said, “There is corruption
everywhere in Uttar Pradesh, from providing jobs to the people to giving the
right price to the farmers for their crops… The Uttar Pradesh government is
working against the glory of the tricolour and the people who fought for our
freedom."
Sisodia alleged that the UP government was involved in various corruptions, he
said, "The people of the Bharatiya Janata Party talk about nationalism,
but when it comes to providing good education to the people in the state, they
are seen misusing the mid-day meal funds."
He alleged that when a journalist raised the questions regarding the mid-day
meal funds, he was sent to jail for six months. "Under the Tiranga Yatra,
AAP will be interacting with the people in Uttar Pradesh with the pledge of
development and revolution in education," he said.
Sisodia took part in the 'Tiranga Yatra' which was launched from Lucknow on
August 14. He took part in another yatra that was flagged off from Agra on
August 29.
The third Tiranga Yatra is likely to be launched in Ayodhya on
September 14.
Earlier on Tuesday, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh claimed
that the party would contest all the 403 seats in the UP assembly election next
year on its own strength.
Sanjay Singh, who hails from UP and is also the AAP's state in-charge, said the
names of the candidates would be declared in the next 15 days. As of now, a
list of 120 candidates was ready, he said.
AAP would expose the "fake nationalism" of the BJP, and showcase
"real nationalism" of the AAP, he said.
He said the party’s Tiranga Yatra would cover all the 403 assembly
constituencies of the state
Kejriwal had announced in December last year that AAP would fight the 2022
assembly election in UP which, he said, should become a developed state. He
alleged that UP did not have good schools and hospitals and people were facing
irregular power supply.
