 The United States and Japan are committed to meeting the zero net carbon emissions goal by 2050, but will first set and achieve other goals by 2030, President Joe Biden said during a press briefing.


"Japan and the United states are both committed to achieving net zero emission by 2050 and we know to do that will require setting and meeting our 2030 goals," Biden said after meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga on Friday.
