Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu taken the first covid vaccine jab

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today joine Prime Minister Narendra Modi in taking the first covid vaccine jab in the city. Mr Venkaiah Naidu said he took his first covid-19 vaccine at Government Medical College today and appealed to all the eligible people to get themselves vaccinated and join the fight against novel coronavirus.




In a tweet along with a photo, the Vice President said 'I took my first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at Government Medical College, Chennai today.' 'I will be taking the 2nd dose after 28 days', he said.

Mr Naidu said 'I appeal to all the eligible people to get themselves vaccinated proactively and join in the fight against novel coronavirus'. Mr Naidu took the vaccine hours after Mr Modi took the vaccine shot at AIIMS, New Delhi, kickstarting the nation-wide vaccination of people above 60 years of age.
