PEPPERFRY LAUNCHES ITS FIRST STUDIO IN UDAIPUR, RAJASTHAN
STRENGTHENS ITS OMNI CHANNEL PRESENCE IN NORTH INDIA
Rajasthan, March 16th2021: Pepperfry, India’s No.1 furniture and home products marketplace, has announced the launch of its first Studio in Udaipur, Rajasthan. After witnessing a great response from its experiential Studio in Jaipur,Pepperfry is further expanding its presence in the state. In line with its aim to build the largest omni-channel network in the furniture and home segment, Pepperfry has established 60 plus studios (owned and franchise) in 20 plus cities across India, thus far.
The newly launched Studio, which is launched in partnership with Glentwood, is located at a prime location atSavina Main Road, Sector 5 in Udaipur. The experiential centre, which spans a carpet area of 1,000sq.ft, offers customers a first-hand experience of a curated range of furniture and décor carefully selected from the differentiated portfolio of more than 1 lakh products available on Pepperfry’s website. These Studiosprovide the touch and feel experience to consumers to understand wood finishes and quality of these big-ticket items before purchasing them. It also houses design experts that offer complementary design consultancy to help consumers in creating their dream homes.
In 2017, in line with the company’s aim to build the largest omni-channel network in the country, they introduced a unique franchise model and in a very short span Pepperfry launched 20 plus franchise owned and franchise operated Studios across Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets like Shillong, Trivandrum, Patna, Bengaluru, Indore, Lucknow, Hubbali, Mysore and Coimbatore. For these Franchise Studios, Pepperfry decided to partner with the finest local entrepreneurs who are well versed with hyper local demand cycles and trends. The company revised its unique franchise model in 2020 to make it more lucrative for both existing and potential franchise partners. The model is based on 100% price parity and does not require the partner to hold product inventory, making it a mutually beneficial business association. Pepperfry also offers a reward structure wherein the franchise owners can benefit by earning commission of 15% (previous model: 10%) on each online transaction made via the franchise studio.

Taking cognizance of how these Studios emerged as key consumer touch points in a short span of time, Pepperfry is planning to launch 10 new franchisee-owned and franchisee-operated (FOFO) experience Studios across Tier-2 and 3 cities by March 2021.
