Himani Shivpuri aka Katori Amma comments, “Day by day, our planet is changing at an alarming rate and going through major climatic shifts. The rapid loss of nature has resulted in many catastrophic weather events like global warming causing meltdown, forest fires and so on and so forth. This is an SOS signal for us all. If we all participate during Earth Hour, a small step can go a really long way. Our contributions will be recognised by our future generations, making for a safer and healthier environment.”
Shubhangi Atre aka Angoori Bhabi shares, “India is home to a treasure trove of incredible wildlife and is known to be a biodiversity hotspot. But, as the country embarks on rapid development, India's wildlife, including charismatic species such as the tigers, elephants, rhinos, and their habitats, face the constant threat of extinction. As a citizen, it deeply upsets me to learn that even with education and technology, we have not been able to take care of our mother earth. This Earth Hour, I am going to pledge my commitment to my planet and its residents.”
Sara Khan aka Asur Rani Paulomi adds, “Earth Hour is all about people’s power and commitment. The active support of tens or thousands will make a tremendous impact to protect nature and everything that it holds together. Collectively if we spread the word, societies, communities and small families could take the onus and turn the electricity off for just one hour. In those 60 minutes, you will be contributing and doing much better than one would imagine.”
Sarika Bahroliya aka Gudiya shares, “We often neglect Mother Nature. Not understanding the crevices of deterioration our planet has faced so far is a serious lag on our part as citizens of planet earth. This Earth Hour day, do your part and reconnect with the nature.”
Sonali Nikam aka Mary shares, “Compassion is a way of life. The nature that gives us life so abundantly is gradually weakening. This Earth Hour let us be compassionate and go the extra mile for our planet. Switch off your appliances and find yourself among the stars.”
