BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya demanded a high level probe by the Election Commission

BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya today demanded a high level probe by the Election Commission into the incident that led to wounding chief minister Mamata Banerjee at Nandigram, even as other opposition leaders such Congress state president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury describe it as an act of "drama"

BJP's national general secretary and party's in-charge in West Bengal Kailash Vijayvargiya said in his twitter account that he was at Mahakaal Nagar and heard the incident of Mamata ji and had prayed to Lord Mahakaal for early recovery for the TMC chairperson.

He said the incident at Nandigram should not be politicised and demanded the Election Commission of India should probe the incident and if any one was found guilty must be punished accordingly.

However, Congress state president Adhir Ranjan Chowhdhuri accused the chief minster of making yet another drama ahead of poll. " What she did for the past 10 years and instead of going to the Ganadevata ( god people) she is going around the shrine and temples to seek blessings," he said.

BJP MP Arjun Singh said the chief minster should resign immediately for her failure to protect herself as she is the police minister and had having the Z plus security for her. Mr Singh accused the TMC supremo of acting for public sympathy by feigning injury and demanded the entire policemen on escort should be suspended immediately.
