Newly-appointed Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Mohammad Rafiq was sworn in on Sunday by Governor Anandiben Mafatbhai Patel at the Raj Bhavan.
Dignitaries who witnessed the ceremony included Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, his Congress predecessors Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh, Law and Legislative Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra, other ministers, judges and senior bureaucrats.
