Research institute CSIR and startup Novorbis to work together for clean air

The young engineers from the Sustainable Startup Novorbis are on a mission to provide clean air to cities, they have managed to crack another breakthrough in there endeavor to achieve the same. Mentor Sameer Sharma, along with startup founders Harsh Nikhara, Divyank Gupta and Gagan Tripathi, signed an MOU with India's leading research firm CSIR-CSIO. The online MOU Ceremonial event was attended by CSIO's director, research team and Novorbis team, along with their inspiration, Didi. This alliance between the two companies will support Novorbis to make advanced versions of outdoor air purifiers. Apart from this, the Diesel GeneratorPollution Control System was also inaugurated in the name of Inspirational Janak Didi.



Speaking on the occasion, CSIO Director Prof. S. Anant Ramakrishna said, CSIO signed a research-sponsored research-cum-licensing agreement for the design of ancient/dope photocatalytic materials for pollutant corrosion with Novorbis ITUS, a company providing air purification solutions. At the same time, Director General of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Dr. Shekhar C. Mande, said that this will help in the development of products useful for society at large and will especially support start-ups.


Gagan Tripathi, Founder, Novorbis, said; “this outdoor purifier will not only control traffic intersections, hospitals, large townships, stadiums, roads, airports but will also control pollution in manufacturing & factory area where air pollution occur through vehicles, emission through other form of machineries in the process.”

Explaining the importance of this achievement for Novorbis, it is the first clean air startup in the country to work with the Government of India. Novorbis has been voted one of the most innovative 5 startups in the country. In addition, the company's first diesel generator dedicated to Janata Palta Didi, who is known for sustainable development work in the country, has also developed the Pollution Control System, which converts its smoke into pure air by applying it to every generator. It is named "Janaka" dedicated to Didi for her works.
