On his ‘Chappal Alignment Superstition’ Pappu Aka Manmohan Tiwari says, “During the match, I will keep my chappals right outside the door next to each other, and if by chance anyone dared to move them or accidentally misplaced the position, they would have it from me! The chances of my favourite player getting out were all dependent on those pair of slippers. It started with the Independence Cup, between India and Pakistan. 314 runs down, India was chasing with players like Sachin Tendulkar, and at the absolute end, Hrishikesh Kanitkar scored a winning 4, till date I remember the immense joy I experienced.”

On her ‘Kitchen Se Dekho SuperstitionRajesh Singh aka Kamna Pathak says, As we would sit down with my family and watch the match, we would conduct a puja right before praying for the best for our team. Once, while watching an ODI between India and Australia, Rahul Dravid scored a six right when I got up to get snacks, ever since I wouldn’t budge from the kitchen.”

On his ‘Champi Superstition’, Vibhuti Mishra aka Aasif Sheikh says, “During the match, my mother decided to give me a champi, and on that day, India played so beautifully. The entire duration, my mother was giving me a head massage! After a point she was exhausted and gave up, I still remember the amount of oil in my hair and my mother complaining of her tired arms. Ever since Champi during the match is a must!”

On his ‘Lucky Jersey Superstition’Saxena Ji aka Saanand Verma says, “I have a lucky Indian jersey that my father got for me, and I would never let my mother wash it no matter how dirty it got. One time when I wore it, and India lost to West Indies, I was determined my mother went behind my back to wash it, and I didn’t speak to her for an entire day.”

On his ‘Bathroom Mein Baitho Superstition’Manmohan Tiwari aka Rohitashv Gour says, “One intense afternoon while my family and I were glued to our television, my younger one got up to go to the washroom and, as she entered inside, a team player hit 6! We got so excited and asked my daughter to stay in the washroom for the rest of the match. Unbelievably true, but India won that day. Since then every match India played, she would take her phone along to the washroom and would stay put there till the end of the match.”

On his ‘Mom’s Lucky Blue Salwar Suit Superstition’ Indresh Singh aka Ashish Kadian says, “My father, my younger brother and I are huge cricket fanatics. During a match, mom was getting ready and wore a blue coloured suit. Just when she stepped out to, India struck a wicket! We all were ecstatic, and since then, my dad asked mom to wear a blue salwar suit for every match and sit with us to watch it as well.”
