The National Capital continued to reel under bad air

The National Capital continued to reel under bad air on Friday with the air quality falling under 'very poor' category according to the Central Pollution Control Board.

According to the CPCB, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) measured at around 1200 hrs on Friday was 381 , falling under the very poor category , which was slightly better than Thursday's 'severe'.

Air quality around the NCR region was also under very poor , poor categories.

The haze and low temperature with high relative humidity pegging at 77 per cent around 0830 hours added to the deteriorating AQI making the air dense which prevents dispersion of the particulate matter.

Minimum temperature recorded here this morning was 12.8 degrees , two points below season's average.

The maximum temperature on Friday is likely to hover around 33 degrees celcius.
