Children, old or young, everyone's favorite dish is 'ice cream.' Today many companies are offering us a vast range of ice cream. Many brand names remain on our tongue. Today, one such ice cream maker of the country has brought the success story of a company that started as a small store in Mumbai. Today, it has reached every corner of the country.
At the age of 15, he decided to move to Mumbai and started working in a relative's restaurant there. He started spending his night in a 12 × 12 foot room in Juhu. Because of less space and more people, they had to sleep under the cot.
Raghunandan had realized very well that to get rid of poverty, he would have to start his own business. Moving forward with this aim, he continued his work, always insisted on his own savings and started exploring the possibilities of business around him. Raghunathan's family was already involved in the fruit business, so he focused more on the fruit-related business. Meanwhile, one day Raghunathan came up with an idea at an ice cream shop. He thought that "if ice cream can have the taste of fruits, then why can't ice cream be made from the actual fruit instead?"
However, he does not even know that his idea will prove to be very revolutionary. In the coming time, he will be included in the list of eminent industrialists of the country. Deciding to move forward with his idea, he started with his savings in 1984 in Mumbai with ten employees with ten ice cream flavors such as strawberry, mango and apple.
People highly appreciated his ice cream, and this appreciation gave him a new flight. One after another, he became the owner of one of the country's renowned brands, serving more than 150 flavors of ice cream, including new natural fruits such as lychees and mangoes.
They currently have 125 stores across India, with five stores directly under control and the rest as franchise. Today, the company is valued at over Rs 3,000 crore, making inroads in almost all the states of the country.
Starting from a small shop, this company has become a favorite of millions of people today. And the credit for this success goes to Raghunandan's hard work and strong will only.
